We "Gothed up" this portrait of Queen Victoria (we're weird like that) in honour of Victoria Day (May 19) because here in Canada we honour Her Majesty as the "Mother of Confederation". The holiday has existed since at least 1845, originally on Victoria's actual birthday, but now it's always on the last Monday preceding May 25. But given its late spring date in our rather cold country, we also unofficially consider it the start of summer. So we figured hey, why not run a special discount??
