Customs (USA & International)
We ship from Canada, so your parcel must cross a border before it reaches you. Your government may inspect it, which can sometimes result in delays and/or import fees. This is totally beyond our control, so the recipient is solely responsible for any tax or import fees charged upon delivery. Allow extra time for delivery with economy* shipping, it has the lowest priority at customs - if your order is time-sensitive use a non-economy option.
*Italy, Mid-East, Africa, Asia & South America have stricter import policies, expect delays
For deliveries outside Canada, we are required by federal law to declare the exact value of the parcel's contents on the customs section of the shipping label. If you feel this may spoil the surprise you should not ship direct to a gift recipient. Gift recipients are not usually charged import fees or tax, so it may seem desirable to declare all shipments as gifts. However, legally we can only declare your shipment as a gift if we ship it to an address and name different from your billing address and name, AND you have requested a gift receipt.
